Abstract
We will argue for an even more parsimonious minimalist
theory of inferences than the one proposed by McKoon & Ratcliff
(1992). At the same time we would like to indicate some points that
are unclear with respect to the criteria for minimalism as well as
for constructionism.
Keywords
constructionism, inference, mental models, minimalism,
reading, text comprehension.
